A close run thing!

What a difference a week can make. Last Sunday Tregony played the first leg of the Cornwall summer league at home against North Inn B in torrential rain. Today they were in Pendeen away to North Inn A for the second leg, playing in T-shirts in warm sunshine!

North Inn (Arnaud Ruetsch, Richard Lapworth, Mark Hypponen) got off to a good start on their home terrain, building a 9-1 lead in the first game. Tregony (Paul Rundle, Pete Lynas, Graeme Kirkham) came back and the score went to 12-all. North Inn were holding the point with their last ball played but a shot from Paul moved a lot of boules around but left his on the jack. One to Tregony.

After lunch (fantastic food at the North Inn!) the second and third games also went to 12-12, with Tregony just taking the final point in each to win overall 3-0.

Tregony now 6-0 up but no other games yet played. All to play for!
