Tregony stays in summer league race

With two wins from their home match against Vogue PC (St Day) on THursday 23 August, Tregony goes into the final round of the summer league hot on the heels of the current leaders, Coaching Inn.

The Vogue visitors (Lena Daddow, Andrew Jarvis and Paul Lumley) began with a 13-5 win against Tregony's Pete Lynas, Susan Williamson and Graeme Kirkham), finishing well within the 50 minutes set for the timed game.

In the second game Barbara Brown joined Andrew and Paul to face Tregony's Paul Rundle, Pete and Graeme, with the home team taking the game 10-8.

After a break for a very fine chilli in the Club - thanks Phil Higham ! - Tregony's Paul, Susan and Graeme took the final game 13-2 against Andrew, Barbara and Lena.

This result means that going into round 6, to be played during September, Coaching Inn PC leads the board with 12 wins from the 15 games played and a points difference of +40. Tregony is close behind with 11 wins and +60.

Vogue PC now has five wins (-18) and North Inn is on two wins (-82).

Round 6 sees Tregony playing at home to Coaching Inn and North Inn away at Vogue.
