Geevor for round 1 of the winter boules safari

Now confirmed that the first of the Kernow winter competitions will be at Geevor mine, Pendeen (TR19 7EW), next Sunday ,18 November.

Registration 11.00-11.15, start of play approximately 11.30 or sooner if we're all set to go. A café and toilets are near at hand and there's a variety of playing surfaces. Just what we were looking for!

For those who haven't taken part previously, the boules safari takes us to places where we don't usually play and aims to find more 'interesting' and 'challenging' surfaces than those of our usual pistes. The usual format is three timed games.

All welcome: it would be great to see some new faces or faces we haven't seen for a while. Please email Graeme ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) if you are intending to play.

See you there!.

PS. If anyone has a suggestion for a venue for a future safari event, the main requirements are an interesting but playable surface with enough space for at least four games, with toilets and (preferably) a café or pub nearby.
