Sunshine for the start of the season

Blue skies and sunshine for the annual Kernow Easter Egg Shoot doubles competition today - it felt almost like Spring!

Six pairs took part - disappointing for the first event of the calendar - and five wins from the five rounds played gave the top slot to Roy Pemberton (Coaching Inn PC) and Andrew Jarvis (Vogue PC), with a points difference of +34.

In second place were Pete Lynas and Paul Rundle, both Tregony PC, with four wins and +13. Three wins and +2 gave third place to Susan Williamson (Tregony) and Bill Kingdon (North Inn PC).

April sees the start of the 2018 summer league - all first round games to be played before the end of the month - and if the weather really is improving club play will get properly under way. The next regional event will be the Kernow Doubles on 20 May.
